TIME TO BUILD!
This evening at 6.00pm we start a 4 week series based on the Book of Nehemiah. Our theme today will be: THE EMERGENCE OF A LEADER.
Please read Nehemiah chapters 1-3 before the evening. This is will be an interactive study. Always ask yourself, what and how can I contribute to the building of the Body of Christ, the Church?
Next week: WHY ARE YOU SAD? (Nehemiah 2:2)
Later: WHAT WILL YOU NEED? (Nehemiah 2:8)
And lastly: HOW LONG? (Nehemiah 2:6)
GODZONE: Children will have the same study custom-made for them!

SINGLES CONFERENCE – “The RACE”
A WEEK TO GO…For “The Race” Singles Conference!!! It will set you on a collision course with the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our Faith – JESUS – and spark an awakening among our generation. It’s a FAITH Revolution.

RADICALLY DIFFERENT CONCERT – 19TH OCTOBER 2018
FTN will be having its annual RADICALLY DIFFERENT Concert, themed “RE-IGNITING THE FIRE”. The aim of the concert is to re-claim UB and change it for Christ. The Church is invited to join FTN.

Entry is FREE

A CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR CANDIDATES FOR THE DIACONATE
Members are invited to nominate candidates for the deacons/deaconesses in accordance with 1 Timothy 3:8-13 and OBC Constitution and Bye-laws:
A member may nominate as Deacon any other member whose period of membership in the Church is not less than two years.
The nomination shall be in writing, signed by the proposer and a seconder, addressed and submitted to the Chairman of the Board of Elders, Harold Kachaje, in a sealed envelope without informing the nominee.
Nomination forms are available at the back of the church.

COMMUNION SERVICE
Please note that there will be communion during both services next week, Sunday 16th September 2018.

FRESH START MINISTRY
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
Are you free from Anger, Heartache, Hurt, Pain, Bitterness, Depression, Insomnia? If not, come to Fresh Start on Wednesday 19th September from 5:30-7:30pm in the OBC Conference Room.
Everyone is Welcome. Rides home are arranged.

FACE THE NATION
We would like to thank the Prayer Partners for their support, prayers and intercession in covering and strengthening the volunteers while they were out on the field.
We still hold prayers every Wednesday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, and you are welcome and encouraged to join us as prayer partners. Pray for our volunteers and interns who are still in the schools preaching abstinence and the future and success of FTN.

WELCOME FOR THE PASTOR
The Church is planning for a welcome ceremony for Pastor Asafa Makan’a and family on Saturday 6th October 2018 at 1.00pm. The fellowship gathering will include short celebratory items from Sunday school, Youth, songs, poems and welcome remarks by Elders. This will be followed by a lunch which will be cooked at the church premises.
A final programme will be communicated to you at a later date. We request a donation of P50 for adults and P20 for children below 12 years towards the lunch. Men are kindly requested to bring drinks for the occasion as is our custom. Volunteers (young and old) are needed in preparing the various items on the menu. – Tables have been set outside for registration and payment.
Please indicate against your name on the registration forms if you will be able to assist with the cooking. We urge all members to participate in giving our Pastor a warm welcome to OBC.
There will also be a video with representatives of each nationality group greeting Pastor Asafa Makan’a and the family in their various languages.
