FRESH START MINISTRY
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23.
Fresh Start helps you leave hurts of the past behind you and in the hands of God. Come and meet with us on the 6th & 20th February for processing issues of the heart. Meetings are from 5:30-7:30 pm in the OBC Conference Room. Transportation home is arranged. Individual appointments are accepted. Phone Susan Mogwera on 72572827, 395 3779 for more details. It’s Never Too Late for a Fresh Start!

OMRI
The Maru-A-Pula reads English Teaching initiative (OMRI) is in urgent need of donations to be used towards the meal preparations (breakfast and lunch) for the children in order that we may begin classes for the first term of 2019. Donations can be routed through the church bank account with OMRI in the reference field. A table will also be provided after both services. Contact Onalenna Giddie on 72116634 or Pusetso Morapedi on 72227975 for more information if the Lord has placed it in your heart to give to this ministry.

MEN’S DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING AND UPDATE ON PROJECT
Saturday 8th February 2019 has been set aside as a day of Prayer and Fasting for the Men’s Ministry. Please choose an hour of the day to devote to prayer on the Theme “take Care How you Build” with the focus on the Materials we use to build (gold, silver and precious stones rather than wood, hay and stubble). The Prayer Room will be available for our use on this day. (You can indicate the hour you will be praying on the Men’s Ministry WhatsApp Group.)
Regarding the paving project P31 000 has been collected to date. Collections will continue after both services for those who have not as yet made their minimum P600 contribution. The Project will start this month.

OBC COUNSELLORS
Those who completed the Basic Skills Counselling Training Course are invited to attend the Advanced Skills Counselling Training Course on Friday 8th February 2019 at 6.00pm and on Saturday at 8:30am – 12:30pm.

2019: TAKE CARE HOW YOU BUILD
“According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.
For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 3:10-11 (NKJV)

MINISTRIES REOPENING
The Library re-opens Sunday 3rd February!

HOME FELLOWSHIP GROUPS
Home Fellowships have resumed. All those who are not yet members of a Home Fellowship are welcome to attend. Please see the noticeboard for a Home Fellowship near you. Home Fellowship groups that have not yet collected the study material are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
We still have a few study materials available for collection at P30 per copy. The study is called “Having A Real Relationship With God”.

MEMBERSHIP AT OBC.
Attending OBC does not make you a member – a membership application process takes place.

  1. By becoming a member, you become an important partner in helping the church accomplish its mission (Together in Christ to The World.)
  2. Our church wants to be a church that serves you and wants you to own the church by becoming involved in some ministry within the
church and by enjoying the privilege of participating in, and enjoying fellowship of, God’s people.
  3. Membership at OBC allows you to share in the life and service of church.
  4. Allows you to be part of decision – making process through voting privileges.

Orientation classes for new members will begin on Sunday 10th February immediately after the 8.00am service. All who have applied for membership are expected to attend the first service and then the classes thereafter.
