QUARTERLY GENERAL MEETING – 18TH AUGUST 2019
Since we were unable to meet a quorum on the QGM of the 7th July 2019, we will have the meeting on Sunday 18th August 2019, immediately after the service. Hence there will only be ONE SERVICE starting at 9.00am. All registered church members are expected to attend.

FTN THANKSGIVING – 10TH AUGUST 2019
As the FTN Volunteers have completed their mission, the Church is invited to come celebrate and hear their first-hand experiences and testimonies on Saturday 10th August from 9.00am – 1.00pm.
The victory belongs to the Lord.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

  • SUNDAY SCHOOL OUTREACH – 10TH AUGUST
    In light of our upcoming outreach to the less privileged children in our community at the end of the term. We are setting up a table outside the Sunday school hall requesting for donations for the following items: Toiletries- soap-30, toothbrush-30, toothpaste-30, body cream-30; shoes and tinned food.   • VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – 14TH – 17TH AUGUST 2019
    We have a Vacation Bible School themed “Let the Little Children Come to Me” for Sunday school going children from Standard 1 to 7, on the 14th – 17th August 2019. The participation fee is P40 per child to be paid by 11th August 2019. Interested parents can pick up a form from the table outside after the service.   • ADDITIONAL TEACHERS NEEDED
    Thank you to the people who have responded so far to our request for additional teachers. We still have a shortfall of at least two (2) teachers at 8 am service and one (1) teacher at the 10am service. We request church members to prayerfully consider joining the ministry. MEN’S MINISTRY
The Men’s Ministry would like to ask all the Men to stay behind briefly after both services next Sunday 11th August 2019 for a brief update on the paving project.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY
OBC Women’s Ministry invites all ladies to the August monthly meeting. Join us as we learn more on what it means to have Quiet time with God and how it can transform one’s life. Please invite a friend.

“IN HIS STEPS” SERIES – 25TH AUGUST – 8TH SEPTEMBER 2019
OBC presents a series “In His Steps” for 3 Sundays, from the 25th August – 8th September, during the evenings to explore more on Following Jesus. Join us on this journey as we go through understanding what it means to answer the call to be a Follower of Jesus Christ and live a transformed life.

OPERATION INASMUCH – 5TH OCTOBER
The 2019 INASMUCH will be on the 5th of October. InAsMuch is a community outreach where the church dedicates a day to minister and touch the lives of communities in honour of our Lord Jesus Christ and scripture; Matthew 25:40 “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it.
The church family is requested to prepare for this day by donating good used clothes, toys, books etc. For more information, please contact Beauty on 733 263 52 and Joshua on 727 431 93. We also need volunteers to join the organising committee.

SWITZERLAND’S INDEPENDENCE
Let us join our brothers and sisters from Switzerland in thanking and praising God as the celebrate 729 years of independence. Let us give thanks for the peace, economic stability and leadership of the country. Let us continue to pray for the issue of immigration, that it will be handled well.
