ASCENSION DAY SERVICE – 9.00AM, THURSDAY 30TH MAY 2019
Please join us this coming Thursday for our Ascension Day Service to celebrate the Glorification of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Due to the Ascension Day holiday, bulletin notices for the coming Sunday will be due on Wednesday 29th May 2019 at 12 noon.

 

AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD IN PRAYER
Ignite Youth will be having an All Night Prayer titled: An Encounter with God in Prayer on Friday 31st May 2019 from 9.00pm.
The church is also invited to join us during this time of fellowship as we stand together in Prayer.

BAPTISMAL CLASSES
Worshippers who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and would like to obey the biblical injunction to be baptised are invited to register with the Church Office on 3184082, for classes.
Baptismal classes will start on Sunday 9th June 2019 after the 10.00am service.

HOME FELLOWSHIP TESTIMONY NIGHT
Following completion of the current Bible Study Book, Having a Real Relationship with God, we will have a night for sharing testimonies from the various fellowship groups this week on Wednesday 29th May 2019 at 6.00pm.
Everyone is welcome including those who do not belong to any Home Fellowship Group. There will be no home fellowship group meetings on that day.

GARAGE SALE
Open Baptist Church, Maruapula will have a Garage Sale on Saturday 8th June 2019 at 12.00 noon. The items on sale include old restaurant equipment, fencing material, old farm equipment and household items.

BLOCK 6 HOME FELLOWSHIP
Block 6 will be starting their HOME FELLOWSHIP as of Wednesday June 5, 2019 at 6.00pm. If you live in and around the Block 6 area you are invited to join us at Plot 30654.

THANK YOU
The Masundires wish to thank the church for your prayers during the short illness of Mrs Masundire’s father who passed away on 19th May 2019. He was buried in the City of Kwekwe, in Zimbabwe on Tuesday, 21st May 2019. The good news is that he accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour on 20th April 2019.

FUNDRAISING FOR RUTH KARIUKI MOYER
The friends and family of Ruth Kariuki Moyer would like to appeal for financial support in meeting the costs of the medical treatment she is undergoing in South Africa, estimated at P400,000. The fundraising is TODAY, 26th May 2019 at 3.00pm at Open Baptist Church. For those unable to attend, the church will have a special collection towards this cause next Sunday during both services. OMRI APPRECIATION
The Open Baptist Maru-A-Pula Reads Initiative (OMRI) would like to thank the church for their support in our efforts of child evangelism through this program. OBC SOCCER TEAM
As we grow our outreach to the community, we are asking your support. The young men in the team need mentors and disciplers from among the men in OBC. Please start by coming to watch and pray with us today as we play against Tower of Refuge Church at 3.00pm. Last week we beat Worship Christ Ministries 5-1.
