WOMEN’S MINISTRY

Topic: When life becomes overwhelming – a talk on depression

OBC FAMILY FUN DAY – 3RD AUGUST 2019
All OBC families and friends are invited to this years family fun day on Saturday 3rd August from 10.00 am to 5.00pm. The day serves as an opportunity to have fun and fellowship as the OBC family.

There will be activities like Aerobics, tug of war, 5-aside football, badminton, volleyball, jumping castles and games for all ages. Please register your teams comprising of a mixture of adult sand youth for the team sports. Registration tables will be set up outside the church at the end of the service. Please note that there is a registration fee of P5 per player for each team as part of our fundraising efforts.

The family fun day will also serve as a fund raiser for an OBC youth mission trip to Mabutsane, which is a small village about 270 kilometers away from Gaborone.
The Youth Ministry would like to provide help in the form of stationary for the primary school and a combination of basic toiletries, shoes and learning equipment for disabled students in the junior secondary school who are struggling with conventional learning methods.

For this reason, there will be a number of items for sale on that day including food and drinks so please Come in numbers and ready to have a good time. We will also accept donations towards this trip. More information will be provided in due time. Please plan to spend some money in support of this cause.

Both food and product stalls are still on sale for P350pula (food stall) and P250( product stall). Because of the limited amount of stalls, we kindly ask that you book your stall before the 21st of July.

COMMUNION SERVICE
Please note that there will be communion during both morning services next week Sunday, 21st July 2019.

BAPTISMAL SERVICE – 21ST JULY 2019
Our Baptismal Service will be held on Sunday 21st July 2019 immediately after the 10.00am service.

CHILD PRESENTATION SERVICE – 28 JULY 2019
Parents wishing to dedicate themselves and present their child, please register with the Church Office by 22nd July 2019.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

ADDITIONAL TEACHERS NEEDED

  • The Sunday school is in urgent need of teachers. We have a shortfall of at least four (4) teachers at 8 am service and three (3) teachers at the 10am service.
    We request church members to prayerfully consider joining the ministry. Male teachers are especially encouraged. Contact: Stella Mzumara 76179631 or Leya Musunga 71629793

OUTREACH

  • The Sunday school will be having an outreach to the less privileged children in our community and are therefore requesting the children to donate children’s toys, clothes, tinned food and cash donations to this cause. CHURCH FACILITIES
Access into any of the church facilities Rooms/Halls is strictly by permission. Prior permission should be obtained from the Church Office before any facility can be used. This is to ensure security in our facilities and to avoid clashes. Thank you for your cooperation.
