DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES FOR NEW BELIEVERS/MEMBERS
Being a disciple encompasses more than just asking Christ in, and goes far beyond baptism. Our conversion, our acceptance of Christ as Saviour, is the beginning, the entrance, into the faith and Christian life. It does not stop there! It starts there! This series is for new believers in the Lord and those who need the foundations of discipleship in their faith walk. This follows the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), the final admonition Jesus gave to His disciples during His earthly ministry. The emphasis of this series is on understanding discipleship (concept, basis, conditions, etc) and the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Disciple. The series will cover 8 sessions: one session per week every Thursday from 6-7pm, starting Thursday, September 25, 2014. To participate, please register with Mrs Boitumelo Maruza at the Church Office (tel. 3184082) before Tuesday, September 23.
Please note that there will be Communion during both morning services next week.
ATTENTION SUNDAY SCHOOL PARENTS
Dear Parents, Sunday School lessons begin this week. We appreciate your help once again in ensuring that the children return each Sunday with the cards that they receive for the lessons. This is very important for continuity. We are continuing in our series of lessons that map out the plan of salvation through the Old Testament into the New Testament. The aim is to teach the children the stories, in chronological order as they happened in the Bible, and for them to be able to repeat and tell them in that order. The cards help with this. Please encourage them to tell you the stories at home in the correct order each week to help them learn.
