BEREAVEMENT
Most of us will be aware by now that in the early hours of Tuesday 5th August, Elisha, the second son of Pastor and Mrs Eyitayo passed away.

The leadership appreciates your support and prayers for the family.
A funeral service will be held at OBC on Tuesday 12th August at 2.00pm to be followed immediately by interment at the Phomolong Memorial Park in Phakalane. You are all invited to attend.

Our thoughts and continuing prayers are with the family at this time. May the God of comfort be with them during this very difficult moment.

CONSTITUTION REVIEW WORKSHOP
The OBC Constitution Review Workshop earlier slated for Friday 8th August has been postponed to Friday 22nd August 2014, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.  All interested members of the Church are encouraged to participate.
Please pick up a copy of the draft constitution from the Church Office.

SUNDAY SCHOOL NOTICE
Second term Sunday School classes  and Little Lambs are closed.  The third term resumes on Sunday 7 September.
During this period there will be supervised activities for all the children in the main Sunday School Hall only during the 10.00 am services. We regret that at present we are unable to have supervised activities for the school holiday period during the 8.00am services.

PASTOR’S CONFERENCE
As plans are underway for our 2014 conference to be held 8 – 10 of September, please pray for those coming to attend and speak and for how you could help. We will need food servers, receptionist, donations of biscuits, rice, samp and mealie meal. See further details on the Mission’s bulletin board. Thank you in advance for your prayers!

ZIMBABWE MISSION
The Zimbabwe mission is occurring August 28 through September 5. Please pray as we partner with Call to Africa Ministries and Crossroads Baptist Church from the United States and Bethel Christian Church and Rescue Gospel Mission in Bulawayo. Pray for those sport coaches and rally team leader as preparations are made. If you would like more information concerning this mission trip please contact Jeff Sukup at 74666610.

FTN THANKSGIVING
The FTN Thanksgiving service which was slated for Saturday 9th August 2014 has been postponed to Saturday the 23rd of August, 9.00am to 12pm. FTN would like to invite the Church and FTN prayer partners to the annual thanksgiving to be held at OBC.

PARTICIPATE IN THE SPORTS MINISTRY
Opportunities are available to play a significant part in the Sports Ministry.
1. NETBALL LEAGUE has just started and OBC has not been able to raise a team!  We would like to encourage our Youth to register with Connie Mokgwathi (73649775)
2. CHESS ASSOCIATION: All chess enthusiasts are invited to register with Maxwell Machoko (71628744) or the Sports Office

JOGGING AND EXERCISE SESSIONS
As the weather gets warmer, a number of OBC members have enquired about meeting early on Saturday mornings for short jogging, stretches and exercise around the picnic trails. The sessions will be coordinated by the Sports Office.  For more information contact Joshua Tlangae (72743193)

2014 MANYANA VILLAGE SPORTS OUTREACH EXPANDING  (4th October 2014)
At the request of the Bahurutshe Chieftainship and the Department of Youth and Culture, the 2014 Manyana Sports Outreach will be expanding this year to include Mogonye, and Bikwe villages.   Kgosi C. K. Mosielele is appreciative of OBC’s contribution to the development of sport and youth in the village and the impact our ministry is having.  Again we shall minister to the 3 villages through the Sports Ministry; OBC Youth Praise and Worship Group; FTN and the Gospel Group.

WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT
This is to announce that Miss Ibukun Oladiran will be getting married to Dr. Olumide Aluko at OBC, Gaborone, on Saturday 16th August 2014, God willing. We covet your prayers.

HOLY CROSS HOSPICE
Holy Cross Hospice is celebrating its 20th Anniversary on 30th August 2014.  There will be a walk through the areas that it serves, entertainment, etc.  For further information call Hospice 395 2115 or Susan Mogwera 395 3779.
